The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs has launched a tender for a benthic survey of the Doordewind offshore wind farm in the North Sea.
Commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the survey will collect seabed habitat data to verify the results of a desktop reef detection study and establish a baseline of the benthic environment across the zone.
The results will inform the preparation of site data for future offshore wind tenders.
The contract is valued at an estimated €700,000, excluding VAT.
The work is scheduled to run from 10 December 2026 until 31 December 2027, with the option to extend the contract until 1 May 2028 in the event of unforeseen delays.
Companies have until 1 October 2026 to submit bids.
Doordewind is located approximately 77 km off the northern coast of the Netherlands. The zone covers around 580 square kilometres and is planned to accommodate 4 GW of offshore wind capacity across two 2-GW sites.
