Float-on load-in
Two offshore assets from the UK sector of the North Sea have recently safely arrived at AF Environmental Base Vats.
The floating production unit FPF-1 and the storage and offloading vessel Alba FSU will now undergo preparatory work, dismantling and recycling at the facility over the coming years.
These two projects are great additions to the floating asset track record at AF Environmental Base Vats. Both Alba FSU and FPF-1 will be brought onto the quayside in 2027 using a submersible barge and modular trailers, known as the float-on load-in method, which has previously been executed at the same base.
