Port of Tyne
Cadeler’s Wind Orca has been involved in a collision with another ship at a UK port, bringing down a gantry crane.
The incident occurred on Sunday at the port of Tyne in northeast England.
The Wind Orca was leaving dock when it was in collision with the berthed container ship BG Orange. Subsequently, a gantry crane on the Port’s quayside sustained significant damage, and one person was taken to hospital.
The crash is the second incident a Cadeler offshore wind turbine installation vessel has been involved in recently.
