Nadara appoints Aker Solutions for Bellrock electrical studies

Friday, July 17 2026

Bellrock OFW

Nadara has appointed Aker Solutions to conduct electrical infrastructure studies for the Bellrock offshore wind farm.

The proposed 1.8 GW Bellrock project is located approximately 120 kilometres off the Aberdeenshire coast.

The study will support the development of the project’s electrical infrastructure concept and help define an optimised transmission system for power generation offshore and connection to the onshore grid.

The study will assess various transmission configurations and critical components of the electrical system, such as inter-array cables, offshore and onshore substations, export cables, and grid integration.

Cost, schedule and supply chain assessments will also be provided to support procurement planning and further refine the project’s electrical infrastructure concept. Entr will contribute project delivery experience and operational data, while Unitech Power Systems will provide specialist electrical power engineering expertise.
