ADNOC selects three firms for offshore project management work

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has awarded project management consultancy (PMC) contracts to three leading international engineering firms for the next phase of its substantial offshore expansion project at the Lower Zakum oilfield.

This is part of the company’s broader P5 programme, which aims to increase its overall crude oil production capacity. The aim is to increase daily output by 150,000 barrels, bringing total production up to 5 million barrels per day by 2027.

The Lower Zakum development is one of the cornerstone projects in this strategy. Earlier this year, ADNOC finalised a series of high-value engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for this offshore expansion, with a combined value exceeding $7.5 billion, according to Upstream.

The selection of three globally recognised PMC contractors highlights ADNOC’s dedication to leveraging world-class expertise as it increases production from some of its most productive offshore assets.

These consultants will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of intricate engineering packages, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to the project timeline.

As ADNOC accelerates towards its 2027 production targets, projects such as the development of the Lower Zakum field demonstrate its commitment to establishing the UAE as a reliable long-term energy supplier to global markets.
