Export Cable

Orient Cable has completed the delivery of a second export cable for the 1.1 GW Inch Cape offshore wind farm in Scotland, which is being developed by ESB and Red Rock Renewables.

The company said that the cable was delivered from the Port of Blyth in England, marking a milestone in the project’s development.

The EC2 cable has been installed by Enshore Subsea, and the project is progressing to the next stage: offshore jointing and platform termination works.

The operation is moving into the next stages of onshore and offshore jointing and termination, with the interface scope on track for completion by the end of the year.

“We are delighted to announce the successful delivery of the second export cable for the Inch Cape offshore wind farm in Scotland, marking another key milestone in the project’s development,” said Orient Cable.
