Yesterday, Wilko de Jong took over from Michel Hendriks and started his new role as COO of Heerema Marine Contractors.
After joining Heerema in 2004, Wilko has built a career that spans engineering, project management, operations, and leadership, working on projects around the world and helping shape the future of our company.
From Angola and Australia to Brazil and Taiwan, his journey reflects the opportunities, international mindset, and commitment to excellence that define Heerema. In recent years, Wilko has played an important role in strengthening collaboration and performance across our fleet, operations, and equipment departments.
Until December 31, 2026, Michel will remain a member of the Executive Board in the role of Deputy-COO, continuing to transfer his knowledge.
