Wintermar Offshore Marine Group has completed the acquisition of full ownership in Singapore-based Fast Offshore Supply and its Indonesian subsidiary.
The company has thereby entered the business of constructing and operating fast aluminium crew transfer vessels.
According to the company’s statement, the subsidiary Wintermar Offshore Marine (WINS) purchased the remaining 52.5% stake in Fast Offshore Supply from Seacoral Maritime for $26 million. WINS also acquired 49% of PT Fast Offshore Indonesia for $7 million, having previously held a 51% interest in that entity, thus securing complete control of both firms.
In 2025, Fast Offshore Supply won an international tender to supply five aluminium CTV units to Shell in Brunei, with delivery scheduled for 2027. Those five vessels will be owned by Fast Offshore Supply and chartered for an initial five-year term, with options to extend the charter period. Subsequently, the same client awarded Fast Offshore Supply a shipbuilding contract to construct and sell an additional five CTV units by 2028.
With this acquisition, Wintermar’s fleet will grow from 12 to 22 units, including the five newbuild CTVs.
Fast Offshore Supply and PT Fast Offshore Indonesia will become wholly owned subsidiaries of WINS, enabling WINS to fully capture the financial benefits of the upcoming charter and shipbuilding contracts.
Wintermar noted that, amid strong oil prices, the global OSV industry is seeing demand growth while the supply of new vessels has remained constrained. The lack of significant new construction in recent years has also raised the average age of Wintermar’s fleet to 16 years.
The company explained that the acquisition brings a fleet of newly built DP vessels with long-term contracts, lowering the average fleet age to 14 years, providing earnings visibility, and introducing a new revenue stream from shipbuilding.
