West Africa and Southeast Asia

BOURBON has secured new subsea and offshore support contracts in West Africa and Southeast Asia, expanding its deployment of vessels across Ghana’s deepwater operations and the Philippines’ shallow waters.

The Bourbon Evolution 802 vessel will provide inspection, maintenance and repair services for wellheads, clean an FPSO’s mooring chains, conduct surveys, install pipelines and X-trees, and perform other operations offshore Ghana.

BOURBON has also signed a multi-month subsea services contract with Tullow Oil for operations on the deepwater Jubilee Field offshore Ghana.

The multi-purpose support vessel Bourbon Evolution 802 is equipped with two work-class HD ROVs and will perform inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) services on wellheads and clean the FPSO’s mooring chains. It will also conduct survey tasks and install pipelines and Christmas trees.

Last month, BOURBON also secured a three-year services agreement in the Philippines to support Prime Energy Resources Development’s offshore operations.

This is BOURBON’s first contract with Prime and its first programme in the region. The contract was awarded under a commercial partnership with Bahtera Sri Kandi.

Prior to the deployment of the Bourbon Liberty 237 anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel in August, the vessel will undergo conversion to enable it to carry methanol for use in offshore operations.

This will include converting the tanks, installing dedicated pumping systems and a nitrogen inert gas system, and adapting the pipelines and protective coatings, pending approval from the maritime authorities and ABS.
