All monopile foundations have been placed at the Yeonggwang Nakwol site in South Korea.
Here Nakwol Blue Heart (Nakwol Wind) is developing a 364.8 MW offshore wind farm.
Situated off the coast of Nakwol-myeon in Jeollanam-do Province, the facility will include 64 Vensys turbines, each with a 5.7 MW rating, and is anticipated to be among the nation’s initial large-scale commercial wind farms when it begins operations later this year.
The wind farm generated its first electricity in December 2025, and turbine installation is progressing actively.
The monopiles were provided by South Korea’s GS Entec and foundation manufacturer Sif, with installation performed by Samhae ENC alongside Toseong Construction and Hansan Maritime, utilizing the jack-up vessel Hansan 1.
