First turbine for RWE’s Nordseecluster A project

DEME’s jack-up offshore transport & installation vessel Norse Wind has installed the first 15 MW turbine at RWE’s Nordseecluster A project in the German North Sea.

Norse Wind operates from the Port Esbjerg (Denmark), transporting and installing up to five turbine sets per cycle.

By the end of 2026, all 44 Vestas turbines for the 660 MW Nordseecluster A are expected to be in place.

Each turbine has a height of 145 meters and rotor blades measuring 115 meters.
