Wind Energy

Ming Yang Europe has become a member of Norwegian Offshore Wind (NOW), Norway’s largest offshore wind industry cluster.

Norway holds a special place in the global offshore wind story: it is the birthplace of floating offshore wind, where the world’s first floating turbine was installed in 2009.

Today, the country is targeting 30 GW of offshore wind by 2040, with a strong focus on floating technology, an area where Ming Yang Smart Energy holds globally recognised leadership, including with the OceanX platform, one of the world’s largest floating offshore wind platforms.

Ming Yang is excited to deepen our collaboration with Europe’s leading industry associations and to keep advancing our strategy of local partnerships, local jobs, and local manufacturing – built in Europe, for the long term.

“Norway is the birthplace of floating offshore wind, and Norwegian Offshore Wind has built an industry community that we genuinely want to learn from and contribute to,” said Horatio Evers, CEO of Ming Yang Europe.
