Saturday, May 30 2026

Wind Energy

The new facility represents the next stage in JDR’s long-term technology and manufacturing strategy.

It supports the delivery of advanced inter-array, interconnector, and export cable systems for global offshore wind projects.

Blyth enhances manufacturing capability, supply chain resilience, and offshore engineering expertise within the UK.

The facility will support future technologies through continued R&D activity designed to increase cable delivery lengths of advanced AC cable solutions with larger cable cross-sections and higher voltage classes to Um=300kV.

As demand for renewable energy infrastructure continues to grow, JDR Blyth strengthens readiness for the world’s most ambitious offshore wind and electrification projects.
