TKF lands Zeevonk cable contract

Wind Energy – Zeevonk

Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners have awarded TKF the cable contract for phase one of the Zeevonk offshore wind project.

The contract covers the full supply of 162 km of inter-array cables.

TKF will be responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply and project management of the 66 kV inter-array cables, including associated accessories.

The cables will be manufactured at TKF’s facility in the Netherlands.

The contract includes integrating sustainable materials and circular design measures into the cable designs.

According to TKF, the scope covers the use of low-emission aluminium, recycled steel and copper, and a bitumen-free design.
