General – Brazil

DOF Group has secured 12-year charter and service contracts in Brazil that will lead to the construction of four newbuild ROV support vessels (RSVs) following a competitive tender process.

The vessels will support subsea inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) activities for Petrobras’ deepwater operations, with contract commencements expected from 2030.

Four hybrid-powered DP2 ROV vessels will support Petrobras deepwater inspection, maintenance and repair operations under 12-year contracts beginning in 2030

Construction is expected to take place at the Navship shipyard in Brazil. Delivery of the first two ROV support vessels is planned within four years of contract signing, in line with the operational start schedule.

The vessels will be DP2, with approximate dimensions of 98m length x 20m beam x 6.3m draft, equipped with an offshore subsea crane and designed for deepwater operations, accommodation for up to 58 people, and two Work Class Remotely Operated Vehicles.
