General – Contract
Offshore vessel owner Tidewater has landed another North Sea assignment for one of its platform supply vessels, with brokers reporting that the PSV Enea has been chartered by UK independent oil and gas producer EnQuest.
According to market sources, the 2010-built vessel has been fixed on a firm six-week contract starting in June, with an additional four one-week extension options attached. Financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Broker reports suggest that Enea previously worked for EnQuest earlier this year at dayrates of approximately GBP 12,500 per day (around USD 17,000). Before that engagement, the vessel had been operating for Aberdeen-based operator TAQA UK.
EnQuest has also recently sourced additional support tonnage from another regional owner. Last month, UK offshore vessel operator North Star secured a longer-term charter with the London-based producer for the 2013-built PSV Grampian Sovereign.
The agreement includes a firm term of at least one year, with options to extend the contract by up to two further two years.
