New CEO for RWE’s Offshore Wind Business

Wednesday, May 6 2026

General – Appointment

In a personal post on social media Tobias Keitel announced his appointment as CEO of RWE’s Offshore Wind business.

As of October 2026, Keitel succeeds Sven Utermöhlen, who decided not to renew his contract and will therefore leave RWE at his own request.

Alongside his management team, Gunhild Grieve, Thomas Michel, Ulf Kerstin, and Julian Garnsey, who is succeeding the new CEO as CTO, Keitel is determined to continue what has made RWE successful.

RWE’s ambition is to be the leading Offshore Wind player in the industry and set standards along the entire project lifecycle: from value-driven development, over on-time and on-budget construction and efficient operations to profitable commercialisation.
