First secondary steel sets for Hornsea 3

Wind Energy – Hornsea 3

At the Smulders yard in Newcastle, the safe load-out of the first secondary steel sets for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm has been completed.

The structures were shipped to the Port of Tyne, ahead of offshore installation, which will kick off shortly.

For this project, Smulders is responsible for the fabrication of 133 boat landings, external ladders, anode cages, and suspended internal platforms (SIP).
