Wind Energy – Baltyk 3
Following the move‑out of the Bałtyk 2 topside earlier this year, the Bałtyk 3 substation topside has now also been moved out from the production hall to the yard at Smulders’ site in Vlissingen.

The topsides will now undergo further works outside. These include additional outfitting activities and the installation of the transformers, in preparation of the load‑out later next year.
At the same time, jacket fabrication is progressing at Smulders’ yard in Newcastle.
The Bałtyk 2 & 3 offshore wind farms in the Polish Baltic Sea are being developed by Equinor and Polenergia. Each wind farm will have a planned installed capacity of 720 MW, bringing the combined total to 1,440 MW.
Smulders is responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the two offshore substations, including the topsides and jackets.
