General – Seismic Acquisition

Shearwater GeoServices and Searcher have concluded their multi-client 3D seismic acquisition program in Brazil’s Pelotas Basin.

This project aims to provide enhanced subsurface imaging to attract further exploration and investment in the region.

The completion of this seismic acquisition will likely stimulate further exploration activity in the Pelotas Basin.

Improved data quality can lead to better identification of potential hydrocarbon reservoirs, potentially attracting new entrants and increasing investment in the Brazilian offshore sector.

This could also lead to increased demand for drilling services and other related activities.

This seismic acquisition provides critical data for oil and gas companies to assess the potential of the Pelotas Basin, potentially leading to new discoveries and increased production in Brazil.
