General – Launch

This weekend Jan de Nul launched William Thomson, one of two identical vessels for the installation of subsea cables that the company is currently building.

As the global push for energy security accelerates, demand for offshore energy infrastructure is rising fast. To help meet that demand, Jan de Nul is building the world’s two largest vessels for installing subsea power cables.

Together with identical sister vessel Fleeming Jenkin, the William Thomson is now afloat and entering the final phase of construction.
