More work in West Africa lined up for Tungsten Explorer

Vantage Drilling managed drillship Tungsten Explorer has a conditional letter of award for follow-on work with TotalEnergies in West Africa.

The rig also has further optional work that extends until the end of 2026 if necessary.

Tungsten Explorer is owned by TEVA Ship Charter LLC, a joint venture between TotalEnergies and Vantage Drilling.

The rig commenced work for TotalEnergies offshore the Republic of Congo in November 2025 under a management agreement with TotalEnergies.

TotalEnergies is understood to have drilling planned in the near term offshore Namibia, where it has previously used Tungsten Explorer, and offshore Nigeria.
