Wind Energy – Norse Wind

DEME’s wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) Norse Wind recently arrived in Esbjerg, following construction in China and final customisation in Singapore.

The first operational steps for Norse Wind will include an O&M campaign, followed by a turbine installation contract for the RWE 1.6-GW Nordsee Cluster. This involves the transport and installation of at least 104 Vestas offshore wind turbines starting in late May 2026.

After finishing this installation job, the hybrid vessel will start with Vattenfall’s Nordlicht I offshore wind project in mid-2027.
