Turbine installation Sunrise Wind project

Wind Energy – Sunrise Wind

The turbine installation at the 924 MW Sunrise Wind project is set to begin, with Cadeler’s Wind Scylla preparing to move from Revolution Wind to the Sunrise site.

After a pause in late 2025 due to a nationwide stop‑work order, Sunrise Wind is now back on track – and nearly 45% complete.

By the time construction was halted, the project had already installed 44 of 84 monopiles, the offshore converter station, and nearshore export cables.

The installation vessel and support fleet are currently in port and expected to mobilise to turbine location AS20 next. Once underway, this will mark one of the final major construction phases before the project begins generating power by the end of this year.

The vessel redeployment also follows rapid progress at Revolution Wind, where only seven turbines remained when that project was paused. With foundations, substations, and cables already installed, both projects are now moving toward energisation.
