Wind Energy – Taiwan

DEME’s Taiwanese joint venture CDWE has reached an important milestone at the Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm project with the successful installation of the first pin pile.

Offshore construction is now fully underway, with piling activities being executed by the offshore installation vessel Green Jade.

All 99 pin piles required for the project were manufactured by local suppliers Century Huaxin Wind Energy and CTCI MAC. Transportation and installation began during the Lunar New Year holiday.

CDWE is responsible for the transport and installation of the jacket foundations, the pin piles anchoring them to the seabed, and the offshore substation.

The 500 MW Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm, located around 35 km off the Taichung coast, is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
