General – Gas Delivery

Helle Ø. Kristiansen, Senior Vice President of Gas & Power Trading, announced on social media that Equinor has signed a 5-year agreement for the delivery of gas to Eneco, one of the largest energy suppliers in the Netherlands.

The volumes are up to 0.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) per year, with deliveries to the Dutch gas grid from 1 February this year.

It concerns gas with a lower-than-average greenhouse gas footprint, as the production and transportation of gas on the Norwegian continental shelf have a smaller greenhouse gas footprint than other sources of gas supplied to Europe.

Eneco supplies more than two million households and businesses, not only in the Netherlands but also in Belgium, Germany, and the UK.
