Wind Energy – Cable Delivery

After four years of project execution, Nexans has successfully delivered both 225 kV HVAC export cable circuits for the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm to RTE.

The export cable system is now formally handed over, marking the completion of Nexans’ delivery scope and the start of the long-term maintenance and warranty phase.

From engineering and manufacturing to offshore and onshore installation, this project brought together a wide range of expertise to build a critical power link from subsea to land, enabling up to 496 MW of renewable electricity to be transmitted to the French grid, enough to supply around 850,000 people.

With the system now delivered, Nexans’ Inspection, Maintenance and Repair teams will support the asset in the years ahead, helping to secure reliable, long-term power transmission for France’s offshore wind ambitions.
