Wind Energy – Collaboration
ELWIND Offshore has signed a contract with Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) to provide technical expert services for the ELWIND studies.
Under this agreement, OWC will support ELWIND throughout the pre‑development phase by delivering independent technical oversight and specialist advice across several critical study areas.
Their scope of work includes technical support for the metocean in‑situ measurement campaign, geophysical and geotechnical surveys, wind resource assessment, quality review and validation of collected datasets and methodologies, monitoring data integration and assessing technical risks, and recommendations for additional investigations to support engineering design and environmental assessments.
OWC’s involvement will help ensure that the study results are reliable, consistent, and technically robust, providing ELWIND – and future developers – with a strong foundation for informed planning and decision‑making.
This collaboration marks another important step toward advancing the ELWIND offshore wind project and accelerating the development of a sustainable, interconnected Baltic energy future.
