Wind Energy – Acquisition
Allianz Global Investors has acquired a 20.25% minority stake in the French îles d’Yeu et Noirmoutier offshore wind farm from Ocean Winds.
Ocean Winds is an international offshore wind energy company created by EDP Renewables and ENGIE.
The project is in the final phase of construction and marks the first partnership between Allianz and Ocean Winds in the offshore wind industry.
The first power was generated in June 2025, and more than two-thirds of the turbines are now installed and supplying renewable electricity to French households.
The project is expected to reach full commissioning in the first quarter of 2026.
