Wind Energy – Türkiye

Türkiye is advancing plans to enter the offshore wind sector as part of its long-term clean energy strategy, following sustained preparatory work involving government bodies, industry associations, and international stakeholders.

Sector development has been supported by multi-year technical studies, regulatory groundwork, and collaboration with global institutions to assess market readiness and project feasibility. These efforts aim to create a structured framework that supports large-scale offshore wind deployment and attracts private investment.

Offshore wind is expected to complement Türkiye’s existing renewable energy base and play a strategic role in diversifying the country’s electricity mix while strengthening long-term energy security.

The initiative signals Türkiye’s intention to unlock its offshore wind potential and establish a new growth segment within its renewable energy landscape.
