Launching and docking of two CSOVs at Ulstein

Friday, January 9 2026

General – Newbuilding

At Ulstein Verft in Norway the new year began with the launching, lifting operations, and docking of two new offshore windbuilds.

The two CSOVs are being built for investors advised by J.P. Morgan.

On 2 January, yard number 322, a commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV), was towed out from the dock hall to the outer dock. The yard’s heavy-lift department mounted the tower on the newbuild using its powerful crawler crane, with a lifting capacity of up to 600 tonnes.

On 7 January, the vessel was towed further out to sea and moored alongside the quay. At the same time, the sister vessel, hull number 323, was docked in the dock hall for further work.
