Fossil Energy – Cylindrical FPSO

CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant (WMMP), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, has won orders to supply hydraulic submersible pump systems and offshore cranes for CNOOC’s Kaiping 11-4 cylindrical FPSO.

The vessel is set to become Asia’s largest cylindrical FPSO when it enters production in 2029, building on the strong operating track record of the Haikui No.1 FPSO.

The project reflects years of collaborative innovation between WMMP and CNOOC, spanning component testing, system demonstrations, and full-vessel integration. WMMP previously supplied similar high-end systems for the Haikui No.1 FPSO and Haiji II platform, both recognised among China’s Top Ten National Key Equipment projects in 2024.
