Dong Fang Offshore (DFO) announced the signing of a Subsea and Cable Lay Vessel (CLV) shipbuilding contract with the Norwegian shipyard, Westcon.
This move marks a new milestone in DFO’s fleet expansion, further strengthening its competitiveness in the Asia-Pacific subsea cable market.
The CLV is expected to be delivered in Q1 2027
Under the agreement, Westcon Yard will take over and complete the construction of a large CLV currently underway, with the contracted delivery date in the first quarter of 2027.
