China’s farthest OWP project achieves full-capacity grid connection

China’s farthest offshore wind power project, the Three Gorges Jiangsu Dafeng Offshore Wind Power Project, achieved full-capacity generation and grid connection on December 15.

The 800 megawatt offshore wind power project is located in the northeastern marine area of Dafeng district in Yancheng, East China’s Jiangsu Province.

It consists of four sites, with the farthest point located at 85.5 kilometers from the shore, making it the farthest offshore wind power project in China at present.

The project has a total of 98 wind turbines installed, along with the supporting construction of 3 offshore booster stations and one offshore rescue platform, according to the media report.
