Friday, December 12 2025

General – Newbuilding

Heerema Marine Contractors started building its newest float-over barge, the H-731, as Klaas Heerema performed the First-Steel-Cut at the CIMC SOE yard today.

This 220-meter barge is specifically designed for the TenneT 2GW program and will assist in installing large offshore substations in the North Sea, starting in 2027. This will support the Dutch and German energy transitions and strengthen offshore grid infrastructure.
