Fossil Energy – Floatel
Aker BP has extended its contract for the use of a large floating accommodation vessel to support its portfolio of offshore field developments.
The semi-submersible Floatel Endurance is currently working at the White Rose field off the coast of Canada, but will begin a long-term contract with Aker BP in February 2023.
This will start with support work on the Skarv project, followed by the Yggdrasil project, with options running until the first half of 2028.
On Friday, the vessel’s owner, Floatel International, announced that Aker BP has also contracted the Floatel Endurance for accommodation and construction support services for the Alvheim floating production, storage, and offloading vessel in 2029.
