General – LR Code

Last week, another CAPE VLT-640 Quad – the largest Vibro Lifting Tool – successfully passed its load test to complete the Lloyd’s Register Code for Lifting Appliances in a Marine Environment (CLAME) certification.

During the test, the tool was exposed to a pull load of well over 4,000 tonnes to certify it with a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 3,000 tonnes.

According to Cape Holland, this milestone enables the CAPE VLT-640 Quad to upend and lift even the heaviest monopiles manufactured to date.
