Vattenfall has appointed David Flood as the new Head of Business Unit (BU) Offshore Wind.
David Flood joins from Norwegian energy company Statkraft where he has led the Offshore Wind business. He will take on his new role on March 2.
“David brings outstanding experience from more than 15 years in offshore wind, working across the entire value chain in joint ventures and partnerships. His deep industry knowledge, strong network, and clear strategic perspective will be invaluable as we advance Vattenfall’s offshore ambitions. I’m delighted to welcome David and look forward to the fresh insights and leadership he will bring to Vattenfall,” says Catrin Jung, Head of Business Area Wind at Vattenfall.
David Flood has spent 20 years in the fossil-free energy sector, primarily focused on offshore wind, while also working with onshore wind, solar, hydropower, and grid services.
He has held senior management roles in building and delivering European fossil-free projects and has led Statkraft’s offshore wind business unit for the past three years.
