Fossil Energy – Drilling

Vaalco Energy expects to begin its 2025/2026 drilling program offshore Gabon in late November 2025.

Vaalco will be carrying out the campaign with Borr Drilling’s 400-ft jackup, the Norve, which is expected to complete its final well commitment with Marathon offshore in Equatorial Guinea this month.

The rig will start its work with Vaalco at the Etame platform. Vaalco’s program includes multiple development, appraisal, and exploration wells, including wells at the Etame and Seent platforms and workovers at the Ebouri field.

The campaign with Vaalco will keep Norve working offshore Gabon from late November 2025 to October 2026, with options to extend.
