Power2Tow project offshore the Netherlands

Monday, November 10 2025

General – Tender

Bluewater Energy Services in the Netherlands announced that the Kustkracht consortium has been selected as one of the three consortia by Rijkswaterstaat for the next phase in the Power2Tow tender.

The Power2Tow project includes near-zero emission Emergency Response Towing Vessels (ERTV) that can be charged and moored offshore the Netherlands.

The Kustkracht consortium comprises KOTUG International, Royal IHC, and Bluewater Energy Services.

If selected for the next phase, Bluewater looks forward to leveraging its experience and supplying five inshore charging solutions and five offshore Single Point Mooring towers. The towers will be spread out over the Dutch North Sea, which will enable offshore charging of the ERTV’s.

This project also includes the design and construction of three Emergency Response Towing Vessels and 25 years of operations of these vessels, which will be executed by IHC and KOTUG.
