General – ARAMCO
Synergy Ship Arabia has assumed full technical management of five self-propelled jack-up barges owned by Jana Marine, along with several other offshore support vessels deployed for ARAMCO projects.

The expansion strengthens Synergy’s role in Saudi Arabia’s offshore sector, combining global management expertise with Vision 2030 goals for sustainable growth.
The barges Jana 505, 506, 507, 508, and 509 support ARAMCO’s offshore operations. This development consolidates Synergy’s position as a full-service offshore manager in the wider GCC region.
Jack-up barges operate in a demanding offshore environment, where energy efficiency, fuel options, and the need for future-ready retrofits are increasingly important considerations.
Mohammad AlSubaie, CEO, Jana Marine, said: “This partnership is not only about managing these state-of-the-art assets, it is about advancing Saudi Arabia’s offshore sector in line with Vision 2030. Together with Synergy, we are strengthening national workforce skills, building domestic supply chain capacity, and embedding sustainability at the core of operations. In doing so, we are ensuring that Saudi offshore energy remains competitive, innovative, and prepared for the decades ahead.”
Jesper Kristensen, Group CEO, Synergy Marine Group, said: “Managing jack up barges for ARAMCO is a responsibility we approach with discipline and ambition. These are highly demanding assets, and our role is not only to operate them but to act as a lifecycle custodian, ensuring they remain safe, efficient, and sustainable from today’s operations through tomorrow’s retrofits and innovations. We are grateful to Jana Marine and ARAMCO for their trust, and we will work tirelessly to deliver resilient performance over the long term.”
