Pharos Energy launches six-well drilling campaign

Fossil Energy – Drilling Vietnam

Pharos Energy has officially kicked off a six-well drilling campaign offshore Vietnam.

The drilling program began on 18 October with the spudding of the first well on the Te Giac Trang (TGT) field, targeting the H1 fault block.

The campaign includes three in-fill wells and one appraisal well on TGT, with the appraisal well designed to test the field’s untapped western area. The TGT-18X appraisal well is scheduled to commence in early December.

In addition, two wells are planned for the Ca Nu Vang (CNV) field — one in-fill and one appraisal well — aimed at further developing the field’s northern section.

Drilling of the CNV-5X appraisal well is expected to start in mid-February 2026, with the entire campaign set for completion by mid-2026.

According to Pharos, all wells in the program will be drilled from existing production facilities, allowing for immediate tie-in and production once drilling is complete.

This approach is expected to accelerate returns and support production growth in 2026 while reducing operational risk.
