Bluewhale Offshore and OOS Group sign MoU

Thursday, October 16 2025

General – MoU

Bluewhale Offshore and OOS Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), under which Bluewhale offshore will hold a majority stake in OOS International.

OOS provides offshore accommodation, heavy lifting, decommissioning, and field maintenance services to clients worldwide.

By combining Bluewhale’s strengths in project delivery and asset operations with OOS Group’s expertise in ship management and crewing, this collaboration will deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions to customers across the full lifecycle of their offshore operations.

OOS International will be rebranded as BlueOOS, a name that reflects the synergies between Bluewhale Offshore’s capabilities in asset management, offshore operations, financing, and project execution, and OOS’s proven capacities in offshore accommodation and heavy lift services.

Therefore, BlueOOS will take full responsibility for the operations. Through this partnership, the newly formed entity and its affiliates will own and manage a fleet comprising 3 semi-submersible units (specialized in both accommodation and heavy lift), 1 accommodation-focused semi-submersible unit, and 2 liftboats.
