Håvard Skalle, Chartering Manager Barges at BOA and Christophe Chabert, Chairman of the Management Board of BrestPort, recently signed a cooperation agreement (MoU).
The agreement aims to develop innovative methods for launching floating offshore wind turbines from port facilities into open water and to support the development of related port infrastructure.
This collaboration reflects BrestPort’s growing role as a strategic European hub for floating wind and leverages BOA’s expertise in heavy-lift marine operations.
By combining BOA’s maritime know-how with BrestPort’s geographical and industrial strengths, the two partners aim to accelerate the deployment of floating wind farms in Brittany, the Atlantic, and beyond, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
