Together with RWE, TotalEnergies has been awarded the Centre Manche 2 offshore wind project, a 1.5 GW wind farm off the coast of Normandy.

The consortium will be responsible for designing, developing, building, and operating a 1.5 gigawatt (GW) offshore wind farm off the coast of Normandy.
TotalEnergies will be the operator of the project, relying on its expertise in offshore wind and the management of large-scale marine energy projects. The Company will continue the necessary studies to reach a final investment decision by early 2029. Electricity production is expected to begin in 2033.

• €4.5 billion investment – the largest made by TotalEnergies in France in the past 30 years
• Enough green electricity for over 1 million households at a competitive price
• 2,500 jobs created during construction, with strong commitments to apprenticeships and professional reintegration
• Priority given to European suppliers for key equipment like turbines and cables
• A strong focus on local integration, with crowdfunding opportunities, a €10M territorial fund for Normandy, and over €60M dedicated to environmental and biodiversity measures.
