Cindy Kroon appointed new CEO of Vattenfall Netherlands

Tuesday, September 9 2025

General – Appointment

Cindy Kroon has been appointed CEO of Vattenfall N.V. Netherlands with effect from 8 September.

Cindy’s current role on the Board of Directors as Chief Commercial Officer will be incorporated into the CEO position.

Cindy Kroon: “The energy transition in the Netherlands is in a challenging phase. On the one hand, the transition is in full swing; we are working hard to make energy production increasingly sustainable, and more and more customers are switching to sustainable solutions. At the same time, with progress comes new challenges in terms of affordability, security of supply, and political and social support. Keeping the energy transition on track and even accelerating it requires courage and perseverance, and that is what Vattenfall Netherlands and I stand for.”

Cindy has been with Vattenfall for 22 years and has served as a member of the Board of Directors, in the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), since 2022.

Together with Alexander van Ofwegen, Chief Financial Officer for Vattenfall in the Netherlands, she now forms the two-person Board of Directors of Vattenfall Nederland.
