General – Newbuilding

Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BS Offshore) has taken delivery of its latest state-of-the-art Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV), WINDEA Clausius from Ulstein Verft.

This second vessel in the SX222 series for BS Offshore continues the legacy of maritime innovation and operational excellence.

The vessel features the pioneering TWIN X-STERN configuration, with azimuth propulsion at both ends, ensuring optimal performance in Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations, enhanced fuel efficiency, and improved operability in harsh offshore conditions.

Key features include a centrally located, height-adjustable walk-to-work gangway and elevator tower, a 3D motion-compensated crane for offshore lifts up to five tonnes, and a height-adjustable boat landing system for safe and stepless transfers between the CSOV and smaller crew transfer vessels.

The vessel offers 90 cabins with daylight for charterers’ offshore personnel, and a total of 111 cabins, accommodating up to 132 individuals, with life-saving equipment for all onboard.

Hybrid battery propulsion and methanol fuel readiness ensure low-carbon operations, aligning with the Schulte Group’s commitment to sustainability.
