Wind Energy – BorWin5
The BorWin5 project is progressing stroke on stroke.
Only three weeks after first energization of the onshore station Siemens Energy energized also the offshore converter for the first time.
Considering that first access to the platform in the offshore location was possible only two and a half months ago this is an even more remarkable achievement.
Already in September the BorWin5 link will transmit first renewable power from EnBW’s offshore wind farm HeDreiht to the German onshore grid.
Siemen sEnergy with its consortium partner Dragados Offshore is constructing BorWin5 for TenneT as one element of the German energy transition.
