Saturday, August 30 2025

Fossil Energy – FPSO

Spanish energy giant Repsol has confirmed that it will hold a tender for a floating production, storage and offloading vessel for its Block 29 project in Mexico.

Repsol has an exclusivity agreement in place for the existing FPSO OSX-1, which it intends to redeploy to Block 29, where the Polok and Chinwol oil discoveries have been made.

BW Offshore has completed the front-end engineering and design work, and a company spokesperson said Repsol now intends to launch a new tender for a contract to lease and operate the OSX-1 FPSO.
