Seaway7 purchase Bring-to-Work access system

Wednesday, July 30 2025

General – Z-Bridge

Dutch-based Z-Bridge BV announced that Seaway7 has purchased a Bring-to-Work motion-compensated offshore access system, following a 15-month rental aboard hlv Alfa Lift.

The B2W system was mobilized in October 2023 and has supported the operation of the Alfa Lift HLV  on a project, providing safe and efficient transfer of personnel and cargo between the vessel and the TP’s.

The system was initially developed for use on smaller vessels. However, its compact design and adjustable landing height have also proved to be of great value in optimising deck space for larger vessels. This eliminates the need for large substructures to provide access to higher levels. Following a 15-month rental period with a positive outcome, Z-Bridge BV and Seaway7 entered into a purchase agreement for the system, which was finalised at the end of February 2025.

To mark this handover, Z‑Bridge General Manager Joost Böggemann presented earlier this month a scale model of the B2W to Seaway7 Technical Superintendent Marco van der Zwan.
